Dr. Nicholas Van Ess is a Wisconsin native, raised in Green Bay. He received his bachelor’s degree in human physiology from the University of Minnesota followed by his DDS from the University of Iowa. During his dental education, Dr. Van Ess completed extramural rotations at Iowa’s Geriatric and Special Care Clinic as well as at Broadlawns Medical Center. Furthermore, he worked in research directed toward preventive oral health care.
Following his education and outreach, Dr. Van Ess returned to Wisconsin providing comprehensive and urgent oral health services for individuals with limited access to care. Dr. Van Ess has gained extended training in treating patients with systemic health limitations, oral infections, and dental trauma.
Dr. Van Ess enjoys all areas of dentistry including restorative, surgery, pediatrics, endodontics, and prosthetics. He continues to enhance his knowledge and skill-set through frequent post-educational courses and seminars. He is a member of the Outagamie County Dental Society, American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Practicing within the neighborhood he grew-up in is an honor and he intends to carry on the legacy of Dr. Watermolen, both in quality service and demeanor. Dr. Van Ess is committed to ensuring the highest quality of care for his patients. His goal is to help maintain and improve his patients’ oral health. Dr. Van Ess takes great pride in his dentistry, and he is fortunate to work with a staff that shares his values and beliefs.
